Fierce drums, pitch bent distored saw synths and gut bothering bass are the order of the day in Phuture Killa’s new tear-out drum & bass track, backed up with a wobble heavy dubstep re-interpretation from Oscar TG.
Andrew Hass, also known as DJ SaDiablo, is a relative newcomer to music production, but we were impressed with his unique take on drum & bass, and were quick to sign three of his original productions, to which Oscar TG adds a rave stab sampling breaks re-rub of the EP’s title track.
Drumstep with a melodic edge, Antidote is J-Tech’s first release since 2010 and, although the word gets bandied around too much, it’s an absolute banger!
Flatpack Jesus is back with another downtempo lo-fi industrial dub track, Black Sun, complete with overdriven 303s, squelchy bass and crunchy drums, all put together with FpJ’s unparalleled attention to detail. Remixes come from Skoof, Moodwing and Oscar TG, each of whom re-interprets the original into something different and unique.
Iller Instinct is a jump-up drum & bass DJ and producer from Perth in Western Australia who first came to the attention of Red Robot through remixes he’d done for Will Scarlett. When the opportunity arose to sign a couple of his original tracks, it was a no-brainer. Here’s two fierce drum & bass stormers to shake the cobwebs out of your ears!
After taking a year and a bit out to travel around Asia and Australia, former Urban Unity member FlipT has returned to his native UK to finish his long-awaited debut solo album. The first newly completed track, a collaboration with Danish broken beat producers Sibri29, is Head & Heart which comes complete with drum & bass vocal and dub mixes from Oscar TG.
Another unreleased track from the Urban Unity archives gets dug out and revamped! Megamouth’s original track features vocals from MCs Will Scarlett, FlipT and D.Bo General. Boss T takes the track into tear-out breaks territory, with a killer breakdown and glitched vocals. Oscar TG beefs up the drums, gets wobbly with the bassline and dresses it with a topping of rave stabs in his drum & bass remix whilst Jack Lucas drops the tempo back with his hip-hop reworking.
Chris & Hamish, better known as Dirty Basement, have been making the right kind of noise all around the world with a string of releases, a radio show and even exposure on BBC Radio 1. Red Robot Records snapped up Thirsty Work when it became available, a dubstep groover which focuses on the more melodic side of dubstep. New Zealander Gomorrah ups the tempo with his drum & bass reworking and Oscar TG goes even more laid back with his dubstep remix.
Following his well-received remixes for the label, Fat Camp’s VTech unleashes a five track EP of dark dance floor destroying drum & bass, including a collaboration with long-time studio partner Hookah, Book Of The Dead. Not for the faint hearted!
Evil Tim returns to Red Robot with a horn-filled uplifting slab of playful drum & bass. Remixes come from Fat Camp’s VTech & Hookah, Red Robot stalwarts Human Boot Project and Oscar TG and newcomer James Edwards turns in a tech-house reworking.

Due to “artistic differences”, one of the remixes on the April 2009 release of Silly Things by Niki Carrera is to be removed. As this involves taking down the whole release and resubmitting it, it was though better to replace the removed remix, rather than just remove it. Oscar TG has put together this twisted acidic drum & bass reworking, and there’s also a new dubstep remix to come from Kinzy. Look out for them hitting the download stores around the end of June.
